
Congratulations on embarking on an exciting weight loss challenge. If you’ve tried any of the fad diets out there you know how difficult they can be to follow. You may initially lose weight, only to regain it all (and sometimes more) when you resume to your normal lifestyle.
This eight week program consists of weekly workouts and a weekly meal plan, which have been created to help you lose weight. We’ve laid down the foundation, it’s your job to follow through and stay consistent with the plan. Each week builds on the next week so you’ll want to progress as the plan does - try to stick to it as best you can.
Before you begin (and as you get started):
Set Your Goals
The first thing you’ll need to do is set your goals, by determining what you want to achieve - do you want to lose weight, lose some inches around your waist or increase your energy level? Once you figure out your goals, set dates for yourself outlining when you want to achieve them. By mapping out your goals you’ll be more motivated to achieve them.
Prepare Yourself
Read through the program and familiarize yourself with the terms and what the program entails. You’ll notice each week builds upon the previous one.
Track Your Progress
Stay motivated and dedicated to your plan by monitoring your changes. Keep a record of the foods you’ve eaten and your workouts, and monitor your progression, and most importantly, take before and after pictures! These pictures can provide a visual display of your progress and can remind you of how far you’ve come. Date the photos each week and try to take them wearing similar clothing. You can even post your pictures in our community eight week challenge gallery.
Also, be sure to keep track of your measurements by diligently recording them each week - you’ll notice the most substantial results in the first couple of weeks. As the weeks progress, you might notice your weight starting to stabilize and you might not be losing as many inches. Don’t be alarmed; this is normal as your body starts to adapt to your new habits. At this point just stick to your program and be patient, you will eventually reach your goals.
