With 44 flavors, this weight loss diet focuses on different flavors each day. According to the author, there is a point in every meal where you stop eating because you feel full. By eating the same types of flavors at each meal, your brain will get used to a certain flavor and start to feel full quicker. By limiting the amount of flavors at a specific meal, you can prevent overeating.
This weight loss diet consists of three phases. In phase one, each day is flavor-themed. For example, one day is lemon day, where all your foods are flavored lemon. Who's ready for chocolate day? In phase two, the number of flavors adopted begins to drop, until by phase three, all flavors are eliminated from the diet. Each meal begins with a salad and ends with a warm beverage to signal to the brain that the body is full.
The goal of this diet is to satisfy your appetite on less food. The details and evidence backing this diet are still a little hazy, even though Katz assures that it's easy to follow. Still, the time and planning required to base all meals on one flavor, may not be practical for the busy, modern-day lifestyle.
