UltraMetabolism Diets Review

Rev up your metabolism for successful weight loss

Origin: Doctor and researcher Mark Hyman created the UltraMetabolism Diet after battling chronic fatigue syndrome. He found that consuming caffeine and sugar only made his condition worse. The combination of regular exercise with whole foods made him feel better and helped him lose weight.

Dr. Hyman encourages the consumption of vegetables and whole foods and promotes stress reducing activities.

Likes: Organic vegetables and fruits, whole grains and tofu.

Dislikes: Artificial sweeteners, refined carbohydrates, processed foods, fried foods, fatty foods and grain-fed beef.

Looking For: Hippies and vegetarians.

Works Well With: Organic markets.

Dr. Hyman describes the UltraMetabolism Diet as a "simple plan for automatic weight loss." Although this diet may seem to be simple enough to implement at first glance, putting it into practice may be a different story altogether. The diet calls for whole foods, which may be expensive and difficult to find. Recipes appear to be time consuming and could be pricey. It's a healthy diet, but, for the average person who enjoys a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening and the odd burger, it could be a difficult plan to stick to. On the positive side, for those with enough willpower to actually follow this diet, you will see results. Fiber works to suppress the appetite and cutting out trans fats and refined carbohydrates can help to reduce your caloric consumption while helping to lose weight.
