Thin for Life is a diet created by dietician Anne Fletcher. It's important to remember that, just because someone has the initials R.D. beside their name, it doesn't always mean they possess the magical key to weight loss. Many dieticians themselves are not healthy... isn't there an expression about practicing what you preach? The lower quality dieticians will often prescribe some kind of blanket weight loss plan like the food pyramid, with little consideration of the dieter's individual characteristics and needs.
Fletcher does not appear to be one of these inferior dieticians; she conducted a study of over 200 individuals who had lost 20 pounds or more and maintained their weight loss for over three years. She took snippets of each of their plans to create her ten keys to weight management. Her book contains tips and recipes from the participants in the study.
The diet is a basic low-fat, calorie-reduced meal plan. Anne provides dieters with a variety of weight loss tips to help them lose the pounds without getting sidetracked. Her weight loss diet is healthy and balanced, and isn't overly restrictive. It serves as a solid resource for those who are trying to lose weight gradually, but will be of no help to those who are looking to drop pounds quickly for a special event.
