Many people who diet may be able to follow their program easily when they know the fat and calorie content of the food items in their refrigerator. Dining out, however, tends to be more of a challenge.
Much of the time dieters have no idea how healthier or unhealthy menu options. Sauces are often full of fat and meats and vegetables may be cooked in hydrogenated oils. A salad may seem like a healthy choice but dressings can be loaded with fat.
A new website is making it possible for health food lovers and dieters to eat out guilt free. Healthy Dining, an organization in California, and the National Restaurant Association have teamed up to create a website that allows diners to go online and check out menu items at their favorite restaurants. The restaurants, which pay a fee to be on the site, list menu options that contain less than 25 grams of fat and fewer than 750 calories. The site includes thousands of restaurants from 50 states.
The great thing about these menu selections is that they must contain vegetables or fruit, whole grains or a lean protein. Before you head out to the restaurant check out www.healthydiningfinder.com. Bon appetite!
