Leah Remini's weight loss secret

There's no denying Leah Remini looking amazing - possibly even better than her pre-pregnancy days on King of Queens. Following the Emmy Awards earlier this month the small screen star finally revealed the secret to her dramatic post-partum weight loss - Dr. Cohen's 1st Personal Diet.

This custom-made diet is based on blood types. Dr. Cohen believes that weight problems are due to hormonal imbalances and if those imbalances are corrected through diet the weight will drop off. I guess it worked for Leah, because after struggling for two years to lose the weight she gained during her pregnancy with daughter Sofia Bella she dropped a whopping 80 pounds!

This diet isn't recommended for women who are breastfeeding, because the diet is designed to "shock" the hormones. On the outside the diet looks good - no calorie restrictions or restrictions on vegetables, meats and dairy products. However, there are few details about the diet itself on the diet program website and you have wonder if it is a good idea to play around with your hormonal balances. It is extremely important to fully investigate a diet and be away of the health risks before trying it. Besides, Leah exercised five times each week to lose some of the weight.

There are restrictions on dairy products!  ther is NO milk allowed.  I am only allowed 6 oz of fat free plain yogurt a day, or 70 grams which is about 2 oz, of cottage cheeze, fat free, a day, and that is if I choose to have one of those two as a meal.  There is no bread allowed and NO sugar.   You need to had lab work drawn to have your diet customized to you.  I have been on it two weeks now.  I was not a big meat eater, and I think had I really known going into it there was a big red meat requirement, I may have reconsidered it.   I am not weighing myself because I do not want to get discouraged, but at two weeks, I do not feel like I have lost much.  They say you may feel inched lost before you feel weight lost.  I was told at 1 week I looked better.  I don't feel like it.

Keli,

The diet CLEARLY states this is not recommended for vegetarians nor is there a red meat REQUIRMENT. You have the OPTION of CHOOSING red meat as one of your meals but you do not HAVE to have it. You may have cheese, chicken, turkey, or fish as your protein. (Incidentally, milk is HORRIBLE for you! It is laden with hormones, antibiotics, and lord knows what else!).

This diet is AMAZING! A friend of mine has lost almost 70 pounds in just over 12 weeks. I am on my second week and have lost 10.6 pounds already!

This diet is for such a short time and you MUST sacrifice without question. However, as I said, it is for such a short time. Stop whining and stick to the plan.... it WORKS!
