Q: I am on the Sacred Heart Diet and I find it to be very worthwhile, but I am allergic to bananas. What can I substitute for bananas?
A: There are two foods that you could potentially slip into the diet. Sweet potatoes and brown rice are both high in potassium and carbohydrates. On the positive side they are a little lower in calories. I would opt for the sweet potato because it will satisfy a sugar craving more than brown rice.
