Safe Foods for Type 2 Diabetes

Q: We need to provide lunch for a Type 2 diabetic. What can she eat for lunch?

A: A diet that is high in fiber and complex carbohydrates and low in fats is recommended for persons suffering from Type 2 diabetes. Good foods include raw fruits and vegetables, oatmeal, bran, whole wheat bread and other whole grain products, legumes, eggs, fish and low fat dairy products.

I am 80 years old, and can't afford to read a catalogue to find out which foods I can eat as a 2-diabetic.  Is there a printable sheet that I can past on my cabinet door as a daily reminder?  Just a plain down-to-earth list, without a lot of unnecessary reading.  Example:  Appled, Grapes, Onins, etc.

Thank you
